Web of Wealth's gMoney project makes the cut in Google's 10^100 Competition!

We've waited a long time for this day! Google has announced the candidates to be voted on in the competition for "ideas to help as many people as possible" in their "Project 10 to the 100" competition.

The deadline to vote is now past. We want to thank all who took the time to vote for Better Banking Tools for Everyone.

What is the Mental Gymnasium?

In ancient Greece, the gymnasium was the place to go for physical exercise. We are all vaguely aware of that. The original Greek word meant "place to be naked", because the Greeks always exercised in the nude.

What I had not realised until recently is that the gymnasium branched out very early to become a place where the art & science of medicine was carried out, and, as an extension of it's use as a place to engage in debate, the mental exercise of philosophy.

So the Mental Gymnasium forum is dedicated to naked, mental exercise. It is a place to consider hard questions, to exercise the mind in unexpected ways, and therefore to increase the flexibility of our minds.

Introduction

The modern world is obsessed with the subject of wealth, but simultaneously completely confused about it. Economics is supposed to be concerned with the subject, but it actually has very little to say on the subject.

The key questions that the

Web of Wealth

is concerned with are:

• What is wealth?
• How is it created?
• How can we measure it?
• How can we store it?
• How should it be distributed?
• How can we get better at creating it?

For us, these are not theoretical questions. They are questions that can only be answered by conducting real-world experiments in wealth creation, and by creating & adopting sets of tools that can be freely distributed to anyone who finds them helpful in answering these questions in their own lives.
